September Fab Furniture Flippin Contest: Geometric Design

Hi! So here’s my monthly furniture fab flip post! I’m having fun turning old furniture into new fab designs! All of them seem to revolve around my daughter’s “trash picked” furniture, so lucky her!

This month’s theme was Geometric Design.

I chose something  from their NEW Pearl line.  It was a hard decision after already trying to choose from their other lines like this one. So many great colors to choose from!

This month I present to you trash picked French Provincial Brown  to FP Champagne Pearl & Gold

I trashed picked this about 4 years ago & haven’t touched it beyond just giving it a good scrub.  The top was a mess & the color in general was really faded & gross.

Bye, bye brown, hello Shimmer! My daughter is fancier than I am so this was totally inspired by her bright shimmery personality.  This was her reaction when I told her I was adding gold & a pearl shimmer to it 😀

This Champagne Pearl really impressed me & glided on great! I used a bright white chalk paint as a base & then used the Pearl Effect on top.

I used a gold color on the metal grid on the front of the cabinet, inside the cabinet, inside the drawer & on top.

I painted a sunburst pattern for my Geometric Design element. My daughter loved it & I’m glad I got to finally do this for her.

After I painted the white & pearl effect top I measured out from the center even lines with a ruler & pencil.

I taped off where I needed to tape & it really turned out great!

The pearl effect & gold really worked well together.  The gold was also called gold champagne so it just was meant to be! 😀

Voila! I Love It! This was definitely one of my more fun projects that I had the pleasure to repaint.

Here’s the final result.  I brightened up the handles but I still need French Provincial pulls for the doors.  I couldn’t find any anywhere but I really loved the way it all turned out.

I hope you had as much fun with this as I did & go check out everyone’s projects! They are Tres Magnifique!
